All roads lead to… a locker: next InPost stop is in the Rome underground.

2022 has been great for InPost: the year is not over yet but the InPost network has already passed the threshold of 4,000 points in Italy!
That’s why ATAC project is so important, it is a pillar of the growth strategy that will bring us closer to all Italians.
Partnerships such as the one with ATAC are essential for creating a 'user-friendly' network: Out Of Home deliveries are everyday more popular among clients, but the capillary coverage of the territory remains perhaps the most critical point to bring Italy to the others European countries level and to give customers a more efficient service.
Compared to last year, shipments to and from pickup points different from home and office grew by over 3%, going from about 10% to almost 14% penetration, but the distance with countries like Finland, where Out Of Home is the standard delivery, makes us realize that we still have a long way to go.
Why do we believe so much in this project?
First of all, we really value the convenience of use, the freedom and the privacy that are given by the possibility to plan in advance shipment, collection or return at a locker, in complete autonomy: they are now a central need, especially for new generations. Not just that, though! Lockers are the perfect answer to the growing focus on environmental impact and circular economy.
Being close to customers, on the way they usually choose to go to work or for normal everyday errands, it is a key factor to grow Out Of Home service instead of traditional deliveries.
And there is no better place than the subway to be close to the citizens! Being present in the underground is a great opportunity and we hope that the project will soon be extended to other major cities in Italy.
This occasion deserves to be worthily celebrated: with the city of Rome we will welcome this beautiful project with a donation to Retake Roma, an association of volunteers who daily works on concrete projects in support of activities in the area. With this donation, InPost will support the upgrading of the areas surrounding two schools in Terzo Municipio, to make the areas many children frequent everyday more welcoming and colourful!
